Esen’s Zeolite in Pre-Treatment

Esen’s Zeolite is used for water preparation, cleaning, drinking, and processing. Its use in pre-water filtration and treatment is essential due to its ability to perform many functions simultaneously. Esen’s Zeolite is highly advantageous because mechanical filtration, ion exchange, easy maintenance, and regeneration are performed at low costs.

Properties:

Esen’s Zeolite is much more effective than standard filter media (quartz and anthracite) due to its enhanced surface porosity granules. With the use of Esen’s Zeolite, the flow rate increases, and the pressure drop decreases. In parallel with mechanical filtration, the Esen’s Zeolite surface, which is active according to its sorption and catalytic properties, is affected by the organic matter in the water, inactivating and oxidizing the organic matter.

​Esen’s Zeolite can adsorb cations such as iron, ammonia, manganese, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, and its adsorption rates vary depending on the concentration of cations, flow rates, and pH.

A critical function of Esen’s Zeolite is softening water. It does this by replacing calcium and magnesium ions that create hardness with sodium ions.

​Due to its ion exchange feature, Esen’s Zeolite decontaminates some cations in water. Our natural chemically regenerated Zeolite can be used in water treatment processes to control the ammonia content in the water. Esen’s Zeolite shows the following order of selectivity in ion exchange processes:

​Cs + – Tl +> Rb +> K +> NH4 +> Na +> Ba2 + – Pb +> Sr2 +> Ca2 +> Mg2 +

At the same time, Hg2 +, Ag +, Cu2 +, Cd2 +, Co2 + ‘are also located on the left side of the row due to their efficient extraction from the purified waters.
