Clinoptilolite: Unleashing Superior Properties Through Its Unique Structure
Clinoptilolite is a type of silicon, aluminum, and oxygen-composed tetrahedra, wherein the silicon-oxygen tetrahedron and aluminum-oxygen tetrahedron consist of an unlimited expanded three-dimensional structure.
In the clinoptilolite’s tetrahedral structure, the negative charge caused by replacing silicon ions with aluminum ions is balanced by sodium ions, potassium ions, calcium ions, and magnesium ions, which contributes to the zeolite’s strong adsorption and ion exchange capacity.
With its unique structure, clinoptilolite boasts a large internal specific surface area , giving it a powerful adsorption capacity for ions. The channels of clinoptilolite, each sharing a similar fixed size, can selectively adsorb ions and molecules based on their size, excluding those with a larger diameter. This efficient and selective adsorption property of clinoptilolite is truly remarkable.
High-Purity Clinoptilolite: A World-Class Zeolite Resource
The clinoptilolite from the Manisa/Gördes region boasts the highest purity, ranging from 80% to 95%. It is considered among the best in the world in terms of quality and reserve ranking.
